Diadema di Venere is a collection of three properties on Elba Island, personally hosted by Gloria and Giovanni. Two of our villas welcome dogs with a small €50 supplement per stay for the final extra cleaning — a one-off charge, regardless of how many dogs you bring.

Dog-friendly beaches on Elba
Elba Island has several beaches where dogs are allowed. The closest to our villas:
- Spiaggia delle Tombe (10-min drive from Fornaci) — sand and rocks, dogs on leash outside the equipped area.
- Cala dei Frati at Capo d'Enfola (~30 min) — sheltered coves, ideal for dogs in summer.
- Marina di Campo (our beach, 4 min from Fornaci) — dogs allowed before 09:00 and after 19:00 in high season (July–August). In low season (May, June, September): all day outside the equipped sections.
- Spiaggia di Lacona (south of the island, ~20 min) — the most tolerant with dogs, including large breeds.
How to reach Elba by ferry with your dog
The ferry from Piombino to Portoferraio takes about 60 minutes and is the only way to reach Elba with a dog. All operators (Blu Navy, Moby, Toremar) accept dogs with a €10–€20 supplement per leg. Small dogs travel in a carrier or in your arms; medium/large dogs with muzzle and leash on outdoor decks.

Frequently asked questions
How much does it cost to bring our dog on holiday with you?
The supplement is €50 per stay, one-off. It covers the extra final cleaning and doesn't depend on the number of dogs. The weekly rate stays the same as shown on the property page.
Which villas accept dogs?
Villa Fornaci and Villa Montecristo. The Scalinate apartment doesn't (narrow stairs and sensitive neighbours in the historic centre).
Are there dog-friendly beaches near your villas?
Yes. Spiaggia delle Tombe (10 min drive from Fornaci) and Cala dei Frati (Capo d'Enfola, ~30 min) allow dogs on leash outside the equipped area. On Marina di Campo beach, dogs are allowed before 09:00 and after 19:00 in high season.
What do you provide for dogs in the house?
On request: water + food bowls, a large towel for after the beach, a printed map of dog-friendly beaches and dog-welcoming restaurants, and the contact of the vet in Marina di Campo (Dr. Bocci, +39 0565 976200) and Portoferraio (Dr. Michelozzi). Bed and travel leashes: bring your own.

Which dog-friendly restaurants do you recommend in Marina di Campo?
La Lucciola (fish, terrace), Il Castagnacciaio (meat and pizza, summer terrace) and Salegrosso accept well-behaved dogs on leash. La Locanda della Pesa is particularly welcoming. We send the full list by WhatsApp after booking.
Are there size or number limits for dogs?
No size limit. Up to 2 dogs per stay is automatic — beyond that, we discuss case by case. The only condition is that they're trained to stay indoors and you take responsibility for any damage.
